Chief Jamey Jones

Jamey became a member in 1987. He started out as a junior member taking classes toward his firefighter future. He is certified in Firefighter I & II, HazMat Operations, Rescue Technician, Emergency Vehicle Driver, Wildland Fire Suppression, and is a Certified Emergency Medical Technician. Jamey has served as an officer for the department since the age of 18.He served as a Lieutenant for 5 years, a Captain for 3 years, Assistant Chief for 2 years, Deputy Chief for 3 years, and is currently serving his 6th year as Fire Chief of the department. Jamey is a member of the Eastern N.C. Fire Chiefs Association, and currently serves as Second Vice-President and Board of Director for the Sampson County Fire Association. Jamey is employed with the N.C. Department of Justice as a Maintenance Mechanic III at the N.C. Justice Academy in Salemburg N.C.

Anthony Thornton - Captain/Medic Captain

Anthony joined the department in 1990. He is certified Firefighter I & II,Emergency Vehicle Driver, HazMat operations and NC EMT-B . Anthony is currently working towards his Rescue Technician certification. He is currently serving as Fire Captain and Medic Captain

Robert Holland - Lieutenant / Medic

James T. Fikac Jr. - Lieutenant / Secretary

James "Butch" Fikac became a member in March of 2005. He recently got his Firefighter I & II certification in August of 2007 and is HazMat Level I certified.Butch is currently working on becoming Driver/Operator and Rescue Technician certified and has only 1 more NIMS class to complete. Also Butch is responsible for entering all fire reports into the computer and all secretarial duties including recording of minutes. Working rotating shifts makes Butch available for much needed coverage of daytime calls. He is employed at Corning,Inc. in Wilmington and is also a Lieutenant on Corning's Industrial Fire Brigade.
