Chief Jamey Jones
Jamey became a member in 1987. He started out as a junior member taking classes toward his firefighter future. He is certified in Firefighter I & II, HazMat Operations, Rescue Technician, Emergency Vehicle Driver, Wildland Fire Suppression, and is a Certified Emergency Medical Technician. Jamey has served as an officer for the department since the age of 18.He served as a Lieutenant for 5 years, a Captain for 3 years, Assistant Chief for 2 years, Deputy Chief for 3 years, and is currently serving his 6th year as Fire Chief of the department. Jamey is a member of the Eastern N.C. Fire Chiefs Association, and currently serves as Second Vice-President and Board of Director for the Sampson County Fire Association. Jamey is employed with the N.C. Department of Justice as a Maintenance Mechanic III at the N.C. Justice Academy in Salemburg N.C.

James T. Fikac, Jr. Captain / Secretary / Assistant Training Officer
James “Butch” Fikac, Jr. Joined the department in March of 2005. Butch’s certifications include Firefighter level I & II, Rescue Technician VMR, Techical Rescuer, TR Agricultural Rescue, Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations, Driver/Operator Pumps, Driver/Operator Aerials, Emergency Vehicle Driver and North Carolina Wildland Fire Supression. He has also completed all of his nims ICS classes. He is currently working on Rescue Ropes, Fire Officer Development and Leadership Training. Butch is currently serving his second term as Secretary for the department. He has served as an officer since january of 2006. He served as Lieutenant for 2 years and is currently serving his 1st term as a Captain. He is responsible for all secretarial duties including recording of minutes and entering fire reports in the computer. Butch also assists the training officer with record keeping, training scheduling, conducting classes and updating the training board. Working rotating shifts makes Butch available for much needed daytime coverage of calls. He is employed at Corning, Inc. in Wilmington and is also a Lieutenant on Corning’s Industrial Fire Brigade

Anthony Thornton - Medic Captain/Safety Officer
Anthony joined the department in 1990 as a Junior Firefighter. He has served as Medic Captain since 1999 and as a Safety Officer since 2009. Anthony has previously served as fire captain for 8 years, Lieutenant for 6 years and Secretary for 6 years. His certifications include: Firefighter I & II, Emergency Vehicle Driver, N.C. Wild Land Fire Supression, Hazardous Materials Operations and Emergency Medical Technician. Anthony is currently working toward certification as a Technical Rescuer.

Curtis Christianson - Firefighter
Curtis joined the department in July 2005. He is a certified Emergency Vehicle Driver and in HazMat operations. Curtis is close to completing his Firefighter I & II certification and has begun taking Rescue technician classes also.

Michael Eric Carter- Firefighter
Joined the department on March 13, 2009. Eric is currently in the process of getting his Firefighter I & II Certifications, along with Technical Rescuer. Employed by Daniel Monroe Norris Construction, LLC. He performs such station duties as vehicle cleaning, building organization, and maintenance.

Denis Ramon Zeledon- Firefighter
Joined the department on March 13, 2009. He is currently working on his Firefighter I & II and Technical Rescuer certifications. He is currently enrolled in mount olive college and is employed by Hobbton High School and Godwin Farms. He performs duties at the fire department such as truck and building maintenance.
